The
Virus
Currently
there is no vaccination for genital herpes.
There
are an estimated forty million people in the US with herpes,
with 600,000 new cases per year. That’s 1 in 4 people. Some
people have it and are not aware because they don't exhibit
symptoms. Almost all are told they will have it forever. We
hope after educating yourself that you challenge this assumption.
There
are two types of herpes simplex viruses. HSV-1 and HSV-2.
Type one appears on the face or in and around the mouth better
known as cold sores. Type-2 appears in the genital areas.
Once a person has contracted the virus through unprotected
sexual contact it lays dormant. Weeks, months or even years
may pass until it becomes active and begins multiplying. At
this point you may feel warning signs (i.e. prodome stage);
burning, stinging, itching in area that is going to break
out. Within 2 to 7 days sores and fluid filled blisters will
appear, lasting 2 to 3 weeks. The virus develops a path to
the outbreak site, sort of like an easy access highway consisting
of weakened cells. The first outbreak is the worst because
the body has not built up antibodies.
There is much pain and discomfort when an outbreak occurs.
After the outbreak period has passed the virus becomes dormant
again and hides within body's cells located at the base of
the spine. In this way the immune system does not recognize
it as harmful and ignores it.
The
virus is only contagious in the predome stage, known as "shedding",
and highly contagious when blisters appear. During the predome
stage, there may be no visible signs but proceeds an outbreak,
one may feel itching or irritation. You should wash your hands
after contact or touching the infected area because it can
be transferred to other areas of your body, especially your
eyes. Unfortunately, many experts advise that herpes may be
transmitted through oral sex. However, no decisive research
has brought this fact to bare.
There
has been new developments in understanding how virus and degenerative
disease take hold in the body. Fortunately the virus does
have a weakness that can be exploited.
It
has been discovered that the virus cannot exist in a highly
oxygenated environment. This is true with many other diseases
as well. O2 Plus and DMSO Rose Cream do exactly that.
O2 Plus taken orally delivers high concentrations of
pure natural oxygen to depleted cells while DMSO Rose Cream
used as a topical application targets areas of past breakouts
bolstering weakend cells in the herpes path and is used around
the spine to deliver oxygen in a precise manner. See our section
